University team engineers „bionic humanoid“ for training in microsurgery

The JST-funded program strives to build a robot modeled on human anatomy. It is equipped with sensors which provide feedback, e. g., on being pressed, and with realistic models of organs. A major objective is to use the humanoid for medical training, e. g., in „supermicrosurgery“.
